After enjoying an awesome conference in Florida over a week ago, I came home heart full and body tired!
Off to hunt for lighter recipes to combat the overdose of sugar (a.k.a. Hershey’s chocolates) indulged during my stay. Ahem. I scanned my Pinterest boards, wrote a list and went shopping. Now to make some recipes…
Well, I became a little obsessed with this Asian Noodle Salad! The recipe makes a HUGE ridiculous amount and because I didn’t bother to read that point ahead of time, we ended up with quite a lot.
So, we ate…and ate..
and ate it! The girls and I devoured the whole thing ourselves over 2-3 days time this past weekend. Delicious I tell you, delicious :: and full of whole foods goodness.
Also on the agenda was some doctoring of my home management tools, what my husband generally refers to as ‘organizing your organization’. Yes…I tend to do that!
Since the new year, there’s been slack on a practice I’ve found very beneficial before – writing out weekly goals. Just one or two focal points in various areas of life. I use Crystal’s weekly goal planning sheet, a fully editable pdf file available for free download.
The sections on my sheet include:
soul care :: nourish
marriage
mothering ~ homeschooling
home management
ministry ~ writing
freezer cooking
On the weekend I jot down a thought or two for each section; just what I aim to accomplish that upcoming week. This isn’t my daily to-do list or where I keep a running tab on all of home life, but rather a way to focus.
A way to break down big goals, such as my 40 while 40 list, into bite-sized pieces. Speaking of that list, it’s time I do an update, right? 🙂
Happy Monday!
