I know.
We’re entering into warmer weather and here I am completely caught up with fall-like desserts! I don’t even have much of a sweet tooth. But sometimes…
Sometimes you receive a recipe, in this case a whole set of books, which propel you to try them all!
Oh, I wish.
My plan was to offer you a more detailed overlook of the cookbooks in the homemaking bundle. From whole food menu plans to a cooking course for kids and teens (with videos!)…there’s a freezer cooking cookbook and recipes for quick, yet deliciously nutritious entrees, and so much more. It’s all in there.
In reality though, time in my own kitchen is still limited as I slowly recover, and still take it easy.
But this doesn’t mean we can’t talk desserts, right? That’s food! 🙂
And, I can still offer you an opportunity to win the entire library of every single resource PLUS all of the bonuses! I decided to offer those after all.
First, the sweet stuff….
Making Maple Ice Cream
Notice my lady-in-waiting assisting me? And yes, the ice cream is melting since we didn’t wait for freezing and tried it soft-serve!
At first, I was hesitant about an entire book on ice cream, thinking it would focus on cow’s milk and cream, neither of which we eat.
I was in for a surprise! This ebook is a detailed and incredibly informative step-by-step and ingredient-by-ingredient guide to making ice cream.
With different types of milk. Without an ice cream maker. With honey, maple syrup or turbinado. Without eggs.
Seriously. Of course cow’s milk, regular sugar and all that can be used, but substitutes and directions on how-tos are included. Just Making Ice Cream will be used again and again, giving our ice cream maker a workout!
Here are a few other ice cream, sorbet, sherbet and gelato recipes included: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, Classic Eggnog, Smooth & Spicy Chai, Salty Caramel Pecan, Lemon Lavender, Mango Cranberry, Cherry Pie, Orange Blossom, Triple Vanilla and sooo many more!
All included in this week’s collection of books!
Bread Pudding in the Crockpot!
Anytime I can use less pots and pans, and still enjoy a great meal (or in this case, a dessert!) – I’m game.
Crock On! is an ebook full of semi-whole food recipes which can all be made utilizing your slow cooker. While I used my smaller (and dying) crockpot, my faithful standby is a Hamilton Beach 6 qt. It’s a workhorse.
Crock On! includes soup, sandwich filling, entree, side dish and dessert recipes. Some recipes require cheese, which we don’t eat or substitute for, but I still find the ebook useful. Take a peek at a few recipes included:
- chili pork wraps
- deluxe potato soup
- beef and broccoli
- Mexican chicken spaghetti
- cheesy sausage potatoes (free copy of this recipe!)
- pumpkin apple cake
- upside down apple pie
And of course, cinnamon bread pudding. I chose this recipe because it’s a great reason to use up the stash of bread edges in the freezer!
But any day-old bread will do. Very simple and easy to assemble, this bread pudding is a tasty dessert. The whole house smelled wonderful.
Well, until the edges started to burn just a little. I told you my crockpot was dying on me — it gets overheated quickly. We salvaged the dessert and enjoyed it anyway!

Sorry, I posted before looking at what you wanted comments on. :0) I have 4 young girls so I am interested in the mothering of girls resources, as well as slow cooker cooking, organizing my homeschool,…
I like all the motherhood books.
I love the crockpot cooking, that looks the most exciting to me!
I’m most interested in the eating real food section 🙂
I’m interested in all things ORGANIZATION and homeschool! 🙂
Love your blogs, Daniele, especially the food related ones. Homemaking is lifelong so I can continue to learn and grow even though I am technically done with homeschooling.
Well, you make that Just Making Ice Cream book look like a winner in my book! 🙂
I think the health and fitness section. They all look great. 🙂
The ice cream making looks great! I’d definitely be interested in that! But I also had my eye on several books about raising daughters.
Organization and time management books (guess I should get off my computer now! :-)) I wasn’t interested too much in the cookbooks but after your post…….I am now!
Lots of the sections look interesting but probably the Home and Property would be the section I would read first.
There are several books out of each section that I’m looking forward to reading. I guess the motherhood section would be the first one to read.
I’m interested in the marriage section. Gotta work to keep the spark alive!
It all looks great, but I have to say the “food” part. Need help with healthier cooking.
Maple Cinnamon Pecan ice cream sound simply divine!! The best of butter pecan and pralines & cream! Wow.
I miss 21 words. Think you’ll bring it back? Hugs to you!
Michelle
All of the e-books look great!
The education section!
Thanks for this opportunity to win! I’m most excited about the discipleship resources. I’m collecting some for personal use and as resources for our families at church. 🙂
Oh dear Daniele, Cinnamon raisin bread pudding…Hubby is not going to let me forget it and in a crockpot too!
Hoping you are feeling better and thank you for the opportunity to enter your giveaway, an amazing opportunity it appears!
God bless,
I am excited about the cookbooks!!!!
I’m looking forward to reading more of your blog and hearing your ideas and thoughts on serenity and rest. The crock pot bread pudding is an amazing idea! I love health and beauty stuff, too.
The homeschooling and organizational books jump out at me first, but all of them look awesome!
I’m most excited about the nutrition & recipe books – but also the Dig books and so many others! 🙂
I love your book (already have it) and blog. Thank you for sharing encouragement with us. 🙂
Well, so many look great– but many of the cookbooks, marriage books– all of them– always looking to improve and learn!
Thanks
Lisa
I would love the homeschooling section and then mothering section the most I think! This is so exciting!
The bundle looks fabulous! First I would read the blogging books. Next? organizing? homeschooling? birthing? I’d probably bounce around from topic to topic. We now have an ereader and I’d get comfy in my chair and stay for a while!
Ooo…I am interested in the Educational Resources and In The Kitchen. All are interesting for sure…but maybe the Kitchen stands out the most to me…..at least for today! Haha Thanks for opportunity in the give away! 🙂
Your blog is so calming. Thanks for your work and service. And thanks for the giveaway!
Forgot to answer the question for the giveaway. I’m most excited about the health and fitness section, but they all exciting.
Probably the ice cream book, especially since your post was so enticing.
