I’ve wanted to participate in this daybook entry for a while, but kept forgetting. Seemed appropriate for today ~
Outside my window… the leaves have completely fallen off our maple; winter is truly on its way.
I am thinking... of the opportunities in front of me, invitations to craft with words :: discerning & praying through each one
I am thankful... for laughter, for sisterhood, for friendship. for incredible birthday celebrations {I should turn 40 every year!} with those close to my heart :: I am full.
From the learning rooms… my husband and I are pondering moving to a flexible year-around schedule with breaks to reflect our lifestyle a little more ~ and schooling the younger ones only 3 days a week. The children are on board since there will still be a pause part of May & June! 🙂 Praying here as well…
In the kitchen… last week my mother came to help and so I planned an all-out freezer cooking afternoon! Shepherd’s pie, meatloaf, brown rice, baked oatmeal, fajitas, and much more cooked and stored. Yes…
I am wearing… high fashion here – an Eastern University sweatshirt and pajamas. Yeah, a slow start today.
I am creating… lists! {as usual}
I am going… to our final homeschool co-op classes today before a holiday break. I teach 2nd & 3rd graders choir & today is our ‘prize party’, rewards for all of the effort put into our music this semester.
I am reading… Kisses from Katie :: a birthday gift from my husband, who knows of my love for all things intentional & meaningful living. Thank you hon..
I am hoping... to get all my crafting supplies organized to sell — soon! Oh, more on that story another day. Letting go, I am.
I am looking forward to… December! For us, it’s actually a relaxing month after a full and busy fall.
I am hearing… the beeping of the oven telling me baked oatmeal is ready. Children laughing & talking {some are screaming a little, but we won’t linger over that thought}
Around the house… I’m decluttering, as usual for November :: sorting through toys, kid’s closets. Fortunately, I did this over the summer as well, so the work is quick.
I am pondering… oh, pretty much everything written above!
One of my favorite things… is the discovery of Teavana at our local mall. Oh, my. A quick Apple store run turned into a stroll through loose teas, cups, pots — I seriously need to return to my rarely-at-the-mall status. This could be dangerous.
A few plans for the rest of the week: not much. Taking in the weekend as slowly as possible. Bible quiz meet for our 13-yr old.
Here is picture I am sharing…
{last year’s Thanksgiving table :: anticipating this year’s gathering}
A pleasant and gentle weekend to each of you…
Should you have a moment, I still invite your thoughts on intentional living — thank you to those who’ve responded!
