10 Guest Posts from 2013 I Really Enjoyed Writing

While I didn’t talk much online about my ‘one word’ for 2013 (unlike previous years), behind the scenes there was an intentional focus happening.

Each year, right about this time actually, I set aside room and space to pray, to reflect, to think on a word characterizing the upcoming new year.  I look back on how God has worked around me, and seek direction for glimpses of what might be ahead.

In 2013 I zeroed in on the word OVERFLOW.

My intentional focus included, among many other things, an incredible amount of writing.  I’m fairly sure I wrote more this year than I have in the last three — no exaggeration!  Prayerfully, this overflow of words and thoughts blessed others.

Moving into 2014, I’m significantly scaling back for several reasons (I’ll share more in the new year).  But, at one point or another in the last 12 months, my words found their way to these websites and publications:

  • The Better Mom
  • The Curriculum Choice
  • Holy Spirit Led Homeschooling
  • Home Educating Family Magazine
  • The Marathon Mom
  • Motherhood on a Dime
  • Life Your Way
  • Keeper of the Home

I consider it a privilege and honor to embrace these God-opportunities!  A BIG thank you to each of these wonderful people and teams.

Today, I want to highlight a few posts from the wide array of words I sent out into the world.  Simply click on the photos for links to the posts (email subscribers, you may need to click through).

In 2013 I learned writing reviews is something I find enjoyable.

For The Curriculum Choice (a site chock-full of homeschool reviews), my favorite post to write this year covered Apologia’s Who am I? book from the What We Believe series.  Such a wonderful resource!

Moving on….

Another one from Curriculum Choice…

My review of High School Prep Genius – basically, it’s a handy guidance counselor in book form!  Not specifically for homeschoolers, yet a super helpful tool.

Sometime before the end of the year I’ll highlight your favorite posts from right here on Domestic.  Until then, may these words above bless you in some way!
